If denied, you can appeal.<\/li> <li><strong>Grant\u00a0<\/strong>the petition and issue an order directing court records and law enforcement records relating to the qualifying offense be expunged.<\/li> <\/ul><\/li><li><h4>Do I need to hire a private attorney?<\/h4><p>Not necessarily. You can file your petition with the court yourself, and for free.\u00a0<\/p> <p>But if you do have questions about the expungement process, need legal guidance, or direct legal representation in court, we can help!\u00a0<strong>Our Coalition attorneys will represent you for free<\/strong>. You can attend one of our free legal clinics, where our attorneys are prepared to help you complete the expungement process\u00a0<strong>from beginning to end<\/strong>.<\/p> <p>Our goal is to help you get your records expunged at\u00a0<strong>no cost\u00a0<\/strong>to you.<\/p><\/li><li><h4>Are your expungement clinics different than others?<\/h4><p>Our clinics are staffed by attorneys who are funded by the State of Arizona to provide legal services related to expunging marijuana-related records.<\/p> <p>Should the court find your petition ineligible, the Coalition will provide further assistance\u2014in addition to the services provided at the clinic\u2014so that you have representation until your case is resolved.<\/p> <p>This is <strong>free of charge<\/strong>, regardless of any complications in your case.<\/p><\/li><li><h4>What if I am undocumented?<\/h4><p>Immigration lawyers are currently reviewing the new law. Because of the particularly vulnerable situation undocumented people are in, we encourage you to contact an immigration attorney.<\/p><\/li><li><h4>What if I have a warrant? Could I be arrested at the clinic?<\/h4><p>Our legal clinics are run by community-based legal services organizations. While the clinics receive funding from the State of Arizona, they are not run by law enforcement of any kind.\u00a0<\/p> <p>To create the most welcoming and productive spaces for people to seek legal support, law enforcement is not invited to these clinics or events.<\/p><\/li><li><h4>What if I have warrants related to marijuana offenses?<\/h4><p>If there is a warrant for you on an expungeable marijuana offense, seeking expungement may also give you an opportunity to have the warrant quashed.\u00a0<\/p> <p>Speak with an attorney at one of our clinics, and we\u2019ll help you navigate the process.<\/p><\/li><li><h4>What if my loved one is currently incarcerated? Will this help them?<\/h4><p>Seeking expungement may help your incarcerated loved one, if their current incarceration is related to an expungeable marijuana offense.\u00a0 Expungement may also help if their sentence was enhanced based on an expungeable marijuana offense.\u00a0<\/p><\/li><li><h4>What if my loved one\u2019s probation was revoked based on marijuana possession and sent back to prison?
